Ghost Tickles is a comedy-drama focusing on the adventures and misgivings of the Phantaza clan, a modern family of ghosts clumsily but lovingly navigating their way through the afterlife. The family’'s relationships, memories, identities, lives– both past and present– and questions about eternity lie at the heart of the show, along with Tag Growling, our mischievous yet endearing protagonist who’ is rapidly coming of age in the Ghost World. Amid the raucous preparations for their annual ghost family vacation, Tag lapses into a past human memory, or a recall," suddenly blurring the lines between then and now, life and afterlife, dreams and reality. What is this
trance-like state of past events that roll in like a tidal wave, leaving him breathless (without even breathing)? What secrets about the ghost and 'Realer' worlds will Tag unveil?
Guiding Tag through his accumulation of memories from past lives are;
Grandma Ester and Grandpa Lester, both comedic and weathered veterans in the grind of the daily afterlife, their eldest daughter (and Tag'’s mother) Eveleena, who works hard to keep the family gliding forward, and her husband Price, the stern but loving father of her youngest children, Tag and Price Jr., as well as step-father to Toddy and Dusty— Eveleena'’s young and adventurous sons from a previous relationship. As this clan of misfits tries to create an afterlife of simple tranquility, disruption is always just a random jolt of a recall away. From the recollection of a first kiss to the Realer hardships of loss and death, these ghosts try to help Tag, and each other, make sense of their distorted place in this ghostly world. Slowly but surely with the help of his family, Tag begins to regain himself like a once forgotten dream, carefully pieced back together—
and suddenly remembered.
